Unable to "lock" window placement
Windows doesn't really allow you to "lock" Windows placement and active windows often become obfuscated by pop-ups or other activities (either invoked by the user or a process).
I often find that I am monitoring several activities on my system (e.g. file download, file copy, CD/DVD burn, watching media player video, etc.) and position each activities' windows such that I can monitor each concurrently. If I need to open another program or window to quickly check on something, I have re-position each of these windows again.
- Enable "Always Visible" option for all Explorer windows and dialogs
- Enable view state saving
- Enable virtual desktops
