Internet Connection Icon Windows Xp style

Submitted by Tato1127 on July 27, 2008 to Icons

When you double click an Internet connection modem in order to connect to the internet, the popup that shows the connection status when connecting has a Windows Xp styled icon

Replace it with a Windows Vista styled icon

Shouldn't this action not use a dialog box referring to the Vista UI guidelines?

Yes, but when building Vista microsoft only cared about the things that they consider people actually use more in the system and never fix things that people don't use regularly on the system, pretty bogus

The windows Guys went over to the live team and played games like paper airplanes and throwing beach balls. when they should have been doing this.....

This is nothing. There are still icons from the 3.1 days in vista! (They are hidden deep with in the system folders)

yes one fo them is the Internet Offline pages folder icon, It's so old It\s a disgrace that It stills exists, If they;re going to do an OS they should take in consideration all of that stuff. and they should take as much time as they like doing this of course there shouldn't be like a 20 year span but you know something considerable
