HTML not good for this sort of thing, Usenet much better

or use MS Discussions format, as they appear in IE7/8 (but not as they appear in IE6, Opera or Fx)

Current format is hopeless - should not need to open multiple tabs for something as simple as this - if folks don't like NG interface then Google groups would be alternative

I don't think Usenet has as much appeal or familiarity to most users as a website.
