New Wave 3 Live UI sucks

Submitted by .Chris on June 11, 2008 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Icons, Legacy, Usability

I hope the live guys take a good look at this. while this isnt in vista yet, It will be

http://www.liveside.net/blogs/main/archive/2008...e-3-new-header-ui.aspx

The new wave 3 UI looks horable . I like the glossy toolbar, made the whole live service look and fell more professional. The new UI you are planing to come out with looks like a HUGE and may i say HUGE!!! step back. Looks sloppy, very childish etc. If you want to bulid the live services with in windows, then keep the glossy bars. Stop being inconstant! If you are heading to the zune theme like the comments say, then dont borther.

I'm sorry, but if this will become the main focus in the live programs that will run in vista, then I will stop using windows live. This is the most ugly UI I ever have seen.

I know this isnt windows, but the live services are part of windows and I wanted to make my say since I know MS is watching this site. Their feedback sites I'm not so sure.

Keep the wave 2 UI and keep the constancy with windows. You say you want to have the live services be in windows, well by you creating an ugly childish UI, your just setting your self up for failure. We might as well go back to luna if your going to do this...

This site isn't about Windows Live, it's about Windows Vista. Demoted.

It is not part of Vista. We should focus on Windows Vista ux, IMO.

And BTW you should watch your language!

last i checked, they are pushing live to be in windows, live programs can run on vista, they look like vista

just because this isnt vista doesnt mean you have to all fussy and a complete idiot and demote it. at least 3 others have the brains and understand what i'm talking about......

@.Chris: You can also install them on Windows XP and they will look like Vista. The same is true for Firefox 3, does look like Vista. And what about Office?

As I understand, this site is for improving Windows 7, not any other product. But yeah, I don't have a brain...

a min ago you said vista...... make up your mind...

and they did say they want to integrate live in to windows so....

@.Chris: But what you are complaining about is a single screenshot (or a mock-up) of the first milestone of an update to an online service that you haven't seen or used yourself.

And yes we should report the glitches in Vista to maybe help improving 7. Hard to understand.
