View Submissions by Severity or Impact

Submitted by purefusion on June 10, 2008 to Website suggestion

Thousands of low-impact submissions can get in the way of viewing the high-impact submissions.

Yet another filtering mechanism to show submissions by severity and/or impact.

This web app starts to become the next version of Windows Explorer ;)

I think severity and impact are useless : severity is redundant with the votes, and impact can only be judged by Microsoft's programmers.

Agreed with cosmo0 but I will still give this a +1 to help Microsoft sort out what's Severe from the users' points of view.

to add to what cosmo0 said, this also may not be very effective because how people rate their bugs' "severity" and/or "impact is going to be different for each and every person. -1 but a good thought.

It can still be taken with a grain of salt if implemented. And I disagree with cosmo0, as impact can also be judged by savvy users, as well as usability experts like myself. But it's true that not everyone can make a completely accurate judgement. So that's where the votes come in handy.

I just don't want to dig through a few thousand low-severity/impact bugs, when I can skip to the highs and vote them up, or if I disagree with them (including severity/impact) then vote them down.
