'Security' tab is visible for one folder but not multiple

Submitted by Evil Overlord on June 9, 2008 to Annoyance, Usability

When viewing the Properties of any one folder, the 'Security' tab is visible. However, when multiple folders are selected the Properties window does not show the 'Security' tab.

While this is not likely to annoy a generic end user, it is a major deal breaker for a network / systems administrator. In both Windows 200 & XP, I could select multiple folders, bring up the Properties window and upon selecting the 'Security' tab be alerted if the permissions between any of the folders were different. Vista lacks this 'Security' tab and alert feature. In a business environment this is extremely useful because security permissions are changed quite often.

Bring back the 'Security' tab and alert feature or give me something comparable.
