that's weird, I can select october 14th 2007 on my english windows vista...
maybe a localization bug in your language

looking at your screenshot, I've just noticed that there was two 13th day on october 2007 in your gadget, not in mine...
that's pretty odd...

have you photoshop'ed it??

Nope, it's a problem with some GMT zones. Day with problems may vary, for instance could be in November 3:

I don't know the Zone<->Wrong days relation, but its actually a buggy calendar.
