Filenames covered by taskbar

Submitted by Amtrak7 on January 25, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Bug, Usability

When you have a file as the last one in a column on the desktop and that file has a long enough filename, it is obscured by the taskbar. The full filename of the file in the example is 'The Trains of the Obama Express January 17 2009.flv'.

Make the filename appear to the side or elsewhere.

Making the text go to the side or elsewhere would not work and it would be inconsistent!

Maybe a tooltip on mouse over.

Yeah you get this one in XP aswell.
I guess Microsoft could change it so you can't position an icon with a file name that large in that section of the desktop.
