Dots in a folder name cause Vista to think it's an extension

Submitted by Djo on January 6, 2009 to Bug, Icons

When you create a folder that contains a dot in its name, Windows Vista apparently thinks it has something to do with file extensions.
There is also a generic icon next to the "Open" button instead of a folder icon if you look at the green toolbar.
