Recycle Bin icon disappears

Submitted by I'am a pc on December 13, 2008 to Annoyance, Bug, Icons

When recycling certain files, the recycle bin icon disappears from the desktop. The icon title remains and a blank area is left displaying the background behind.

To recover the recycle bin icon, you need to go to personalize and select desktop icons from the left control pane and remove the recycle bin then push OK. After removing the icon, go back and add the icon to the desktop again then push OK. Microsoft needs to apply a hotfix to permanently repair this bug.

yes, sometimes this bug occurs. Another bug is in Recycle Bin folder where the file icons are not updated when you empty it

That happens a lot of times to me, so it's really a bug.
