recycle bin

ok,i was just looking at my desktop and noticed the trash (recycle bin) has a recycle sign on it and its called the recycle bin...dont notice the problem? i didnt either until i thought about it. we delete stuff into there,we dont reuse it, we throw it away.so why isnt it called a trash bin or garbage?

change the icon and name

Because you can get files out of it, they aren't gone forever when you throw them in the trash. If it bothers you so much, you can rename it to whatever you want and change the icon as well.

You do "reuse" the space the file was taking up on your HDD though. Not a perfect explanation, I know.

Actually, you aren't seeing the big picture with the recycle bin process. When you delete something it's thrown into the Recycle Bin. When the Recycle Bin is emptied all of those files are flagged as free space. The actual 1s and 0s are never wiped. As you create more files and fill up your hard drive new files overwrite old data that has been marked as free. That's why when you use a file recovery program like Recuva you can recover files that were in the recycle bin by accident when you emptied it.

I know that. In sumer 2006, i did a recovery and i got files from december 2005
