Problem with Shortcut dialog isn't Vista-style

Submitted by nitrous9200 on August 21, 2008 to Aesthetics

This still uses the old style all gray dialog box.

Update the dialog box.

this dialog already has the vista style (It has the glass, it has buttons with blue borders).
"New style" doesn't mean all windows should have a white background!

@bearluke
You're completely wrong see the "Official Windows UX Guidelines' on the site before voting an idea, you say is vista style because of the glass that is applied by default.. ¬¬ and ok the buttons use vista style but just this, there are a lot of things missing, to name a few:
-> Wrong font
-> White background (¿?)
-> Main instructions bigger and blue
-> Separation between buttons and the rest of dialog

@chris
1) the article you posted doesn't say anything about the background colour.
2) the article you posted shows a nice window with a gray background colour: http://i.msdn.microsoft.com/Bb545457.DialogsDC07(en-us,MSDN.10).png

Hey, I don't know if there are supposed to be two types of dialog boxes (the blue instruction text with white background or old style grey background) but I've noticed a lot of inconsistency in Vista and I'm not sure what's supposed to be what. I just noticed this trying to recreate another problem.

This dialog IS supposed to have "new style", contrary to what bearluke thinks. Thank God he's not part of the Windows team.

Although it is somehow according to some of the styles in the article of MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb545457.aspx) as bearluke pointed out, it WOULD be nicer if it uses the "new style" instead (the style with plain question in blue, and self-describable buttons like "Delete" and "Leave")

If using a new style, use it everywhere! (I think)
