Network Folder / UPNP - totally not user friendly
What they could do, is ad a Music menu item - and that would be a cleaned up version of this. They could also make it extensible so iTunes, Zune, UPNP could all coexist there peacfully.

The green play icon on the left is due to an open copy of windows media player. What's it for? unknown. The other one is my Roku which doesn't have any music, just plays it. If I double click on that, it open media player which brings up a configure devices window. Really weird. I wish I could understand the logic behnind this but I can't.

The whole point to this post really - it's confusing. Network seems to be the right place to access music servers. For example, when I play music on the laptop, i double click the server media device icon.

Vector Based Graphics with Scaling
^^ those will have to remain as bitmaps for quite some time to come. Both apple and ms have made this concession for performance sake. I'm willing to wait for the cpu power to "do it right".
Too complicated way to change behaviour of Power Button in Start Menu
Yeah that drill down into the energy dialog is a nightmare in general.

Windows Photo Gallery - No More Zoom-Out
its down on the toolbar.
Allow printscreen to copy just part of the screen or just a sub-window
I think it should be tied to some sort of nice clipping app like on OSX. Even the new snip tool maybe, although that needs work.
Revamp Task Manager to be more like Sysinternals ProcessExplorer
there you go ^^ most user's don't need this kind of control.
Strange line near text while clicking an icon on desktop
I can reproduce that. nom.

"Sidebar also doesn't remember its gadgets' setting when they are closed"
there's a script library out there one of the ms guys wrote that widget devs can use to persist settings.

9 times out of 10 the shutdown will be caused b y a crappy widget. try removing 3rd party widgets to see if it goes away.
