Drag and drop for tabbed Explorer Idea

This is an idea I mocked up in Paint.net. When you've selected a bunch of files and start to drag them, live previews of the other folders appear down from the tab bar. These would act as drop zones where you could drop your files.

Keep discussions going

After submitting a comment, no one can easily reply or be notified of replies to their comments on Taskforce items. This means conversations can't get started as items are forgotten about.

Use a simple Twitter/Blog style reply and notification system:

'@nidonocu: I really think that's a neat idea.'

The '@name:' would be looked for at the start of each paragraph, so multiple replies (more...)

Restarting in five minutes

When automatically installing updates, Windows displays a prompt for the user to restart their computer.

The prompt reminds users to save their work... then rudely displays a timer after which it will restart their computer anyway, loosing (more...)

1) Reduce the number of restart required updates (a Vista promise, only partly fulfilled).

2) Provide more API's for developers of new apps and automatic systems for existing applications. Allow apps to save state and return to it (more...)
