Tab Rendering Issue in Windows Media Player
When the player is small enough, the arrow to the right has a rounded top edge. Also, when this arrow is clicked, all of the tab groups come up.
Make the rounded edge squared off. Also only show those groups that are hidden in the menu that comes up when the arrow is clicked.

Windows Media Player Menu Background Inconsistency
The classic menu background in Windows Media Player does not match with the style of the rest of the system. It makes things look out of date.
Change the menu to something like the bottom half of the posted image. It's background should match the one from Windows Explorer.

Slight Windows Meida Player Render Issue and Icon Suggestions
In the Aero UI, when the player automatically switches to compact mode upon resizing it, the text and certain images in the player, such as the back and forward buttoms as well as the tabs at the top of the player, have a shroud of white around them. (more...)
Keep the current view as is all the way until the player completely switches to compact mode. Also, the 16x16 icon backgrounds should be transparent.

Poor Metadata Contrast in Windows Media Player
In the Classic UI, the dark blue metadata has poor contrast against the dark gray background.
Change the color of the metadata to white or some other brighter color.

Rendering Error in Windows Media Player Compact Mode
When the UI switches from Aero to Basic, the compact mode has gradients on each side of the player that look like they should not be there.
Get rid of the gradient on each side when the player is in compact mode.

Windows Media Player Miniature Mode Rendering Issues
The very edges of the player as well as the viewing window’s bottom have pixels that do not belong there. In addition, the slider does not match the style in normal mode.

Back Up Wizard Text Rendering
When changing opotions in the backup settings wizard, the types of files you are give to backup change to a bold and underlined face when you hover over then and then fade back to normal after the mouse moves on.
Do not apply these affects to these options. Have the text for the types of files to backup stay the way it initially appears.

Control Panel Hierarchy
When in any place other than the main list of control panel options, a hierarchy appears on the thumbnail of the window that you are currently in.
For example, if you are in the directory Control Panel\Hardware and Sound, the thumbnail for this window should say Hardware and Sound and not the directory.

Slide Show Gadget Rendering Issues
With pictures that do not fill the gadget vertically completely due to their aspect ratio, they are not perfectly centered, as highlighted by the red boxes. Also, the encircled options that appear when you hover over the gadget have jagged edges.
Center pictures vertically and make the hover options anti-aliased.

Occasionally when a disc is loaded into the tray, Windows will display a loading disc cursor icon that is from the Windows 9x era.
