Folder options should have the option to remove shortcut arrow.

Submitted by Pharaoh on October 6, 2008 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Icons

So... I think there should be an option in Folder Options to remove the shortcut arrow from shortcuts. We shouldn't have to use a 3rd party app to do it OR modify the registry.

See above.

No Volume meter displayed when adjusting volume manually with laptop

Submitted by Pharaoh on October 6, 2008 to Aesthetics, Usability

Before, in XP when I adjusted the volume using my volume button on my laptop, a green meter would appear across the bottom half of my display (much like when you turn the volume up or down on a television). I had Windows XP Media Center Edition. I liked (more...)

Create a meter for the level of volume as a user pushes their volume button up or down manually on their laptop.

Text glow in Windows Media Player when maximized.

Submitted by Pharaoh on October 6, 2008 to Aesthetics

While playing a song the text that appears in the bottom left along with the time sort of "glows." This is ugly. Just make the text appear normal without the glow (when the player is fully maximized). Besides that other users have posted another (more...)

Take away the glow. No flow with the glow.

Comctl32.dll toolbar buttons legacy style

Submitted by Pharaoh on October 6, 2008 to Aesthetics, Icons

When clicking File... Open... and searching for files inside a 3rd party application, such as the one I have used here as an example (IrfanView) the toolbar buttons displayed are the old XP style and they are ugly. This is due to the comctl32.dll file.

Update the BMP's in the comctl32.dll file to display new Vista versions of these buttons please.
