RSS gadget: Not resizable, no option to always have the lates item at the top.

Submitted by thda on June 8, 2008 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Usability

- The RSS sidebar gadget cannot be resized.
- Currently, the gadget constantly switches between "news pages".
There should be an option to show only a single page, so that the latest news item is ALWAYS at the top.

- Implement support for resizing.
- Implement option to show only the news items that will fit within the gadget, so that the item at the top is always the lates.

Notepad: Allow infinite Undo/Redo.

Submitted by thda on June 8, 2008 to Annoyance, Legacy, Usability

In notepad, you can undo/redo only the most recent change.
In something as simple as a text editor, there is NO excuse for not allowing the user to undo/redo an infinite number of changes.

Implement infinite undo/redo.

Internet Explorer: Not possible to drag tabs between windows.

Submitted by thda on June 4, 2008 to Annoyance

In Internet Explorer, you can not drag a tab from one IE window to another. This can sometimes be an annoyance when doing research.

Allow the user to drag tabs between windows.
Also consider allowing the user to create a shortcut by dragging the tab, just like dragging the icon in the address bar.

- There is (more...)

- Allow the user to add links to Videos, Downloads, Contacts, etc.
- Allow the user to add links to any folder.
Consider limiting the this to folders directly within the home folder, in order to preserve some kind of folder hierarchy. Also (more...)
