Problem: When you click and drag a font in to the fonts window, you are presented with an old 9x progress bar.

Solution: update to vista era with the glossy green light

Copy confirmation dialog when copying from a Mapped Network Drive

Problem: Top of the dialog box states Internet Explorer, when the copy process does not involve the web browser. When you drag files from a Mapped Network Drive to a local location, a dialog pops up asking "Do you really want to copy files from this zone?" (more...)

Solution: Change header, revise icon and text to stay in line with other Windows copy dialog boxes.

"Shop for Music" in context menu

Solution: I reckon this was just overlooked so take it out... if I want to buy music I'll use my Media Player. Or, at least update the website so it looks a bit more Vista-esque. :)

Remote Desktop 'Windows Security' Icon

Problem: While using Vista's remote desktop feature, the icon pertaining to Windows Security (the equivalent of the ctrl + alt + del splash screen), on the start menu looks legacy and appears to be the incorrect icon size. I wouldn't even call it aliased, (more...)

Speech Properties - Old Windows 98/2000 Icon

Paint MUST be replaced

Problem: Stock Paint application is outdated, feature-limited, ugly and must be thrown away from the modern operating system environment.

Solution: Replace Paint with more sophisticated application. Paint.NET looks very promising.

Task Manager tab background

Problem: The task manager has the wrong color of the background tab. It should be white.
Even Windows XP is guilty of the same thing.

Solution: Change background of tab to match Vista UI (so white)

Add Fonts

Problem: Installing 100’s of fonts which each happen to have duplicate versions of Windows fonts - forces you to hit “Yes” over and over again.

Solution: Add “Yes to all” and “No to all” buttons; better yet, follow the conventions of the file copy dialog.
